I had the opportunity to shoot 4 of the events for the Jimmy V Foundation, two friends in the wedding/event industry are Rick Bryda of Total Production Services and Mel Day of Dogwood Tree Floral Designs are a major part into the look of the V Gala Fundraiser Auction for Cancer Research.

I wanted to highlight how much amazing light and flowers can make an event of any kind spectacular.  Next time you walk into a Convention Center when it is not lit up and designed with gorgeous flowers I want you to think f the possibilities cause they are endless.  Special thanks to Mel Day who referred me into doing the photography for this.  I am not sure what faces I can post because of the amount of Celebrities at this event so just a few details for now.

I have had the pleasure to get to know the lovely people who work at the new Aloft Hotel in chapel Hill.  This place is such a fun place to hang out and have a meeting or casual evening at.  Its one of those unique hotels that steps out of the box and is total people orientated.  The General Manager Rob Cote and I have shared some great times on the pool table including one of our favorite stories about the pool table.  To find out about this story you will have to visit and ask about the lost pool ball on the table.  We both love telling it.  I had the privilege to photograph the Grand Opening last week and here are a few images prior to it and on the evening.  There were far too many pictures of the evening to post so please Facebook me to see the rest.  Here are some of my favorites

Last week I walked into a tent, now this was no ordinary tent like the one you camp in.  This tent was just shy of a football field and had an unbelievable view of elegance.  This was Dukes Reunions Gala spanning classes 1960, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 2000, and 2005 with 3,000 alumni in one roof.  The elegance of this affair with tent, decor, service, and food provided by The Catering Company of Chapel Hill and food and service by Mitchell’s Catering. From Coach Mike Krzyzewski, two bands, Confetti, dancing, dining, and fireworks this was one amazing place to be at.  Done in Duke Style all the way to the end of the night!!!
